Erasmus Plus Exchange Programme: 
The College has been involved in the Erasmus Plus Exchange Programme with Carlsforsska Gymnasiet Upper Secondary school in Vasteras, Sweden for a significant number of years. This exchange programme allows selected learners from certain courses the opportunity to gain work experience in their area of study in Sweden. The courses involved include Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy, Business, Childcare, Pre-Nursing/Healthcare Support and Sport and Recreation. The cost is fully funded by Leargas and feedback from the learners has always been positive as they gain a unique understanding of work practices in another European country. The three weeks allows student the chance to gain a better understanding of the cultures, traditions and way of life in Sweden. Prior to Christmas a Swedish delegation comes to Enniscorthy to complete their work placements in different work settings.
Learners are selected following an interview and must be available to travel the last three weeks in January. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 the exchange programme has not been in operation for the past two years but hopefully it will commence again this year. Learners are accompanied by teachers for the duration of the trip and stay in hotel accommodation. On completion of the exchange all learners must complete an evaluation report outlining what they learnt from the whole experience and where improvements can be made.
The College has recently made similar links with Malaga in Spain. The first group of twelve learners travelled to Malaga on the 4th of April 2022 and they all secured excellent work placements further enhancing their educational experience. Anita Cullen the Joint PLC Coordinator is the Erasmus Plus Coordinator and is responsible for organising all aspects of the trips.
